1: Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using the Tonely keyboard (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms” or “EULA”). If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Tonely is provided by Tonely AI Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom.
2: Overview of the Service
Tonely is an on-device AI keyboard that provides tone-awareness and reflective guidance while typing. It is designed to help users communicate with greater care and awareness.
Tonely offers reflective suggestions, but Tonely is not perfect. All guidance may be inaccurate at times. Please always trust your own judgement when sending a message.
Tonely does not rewrite your text, does not store or upload your messages, and operates fully on-device.
3: Subscription Requirements
Tonely operates on a subscription basis. Users must maintain an active monthly or yearly subscription to access and use the Tonely keyboard.
3.1 Subscription Types
- Monthly subscription (auto-renewing)
- Yearly subscription (auto-renewing)
Your subscription begins immediately upon confirmation of payment through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
3.2 Automatic Renewal
All subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
3.3 Billing & Payment
Payments are processed directly by Apple or Google (“the Store”). Tonely AI Ltd does not store or process payment information.
- Apple subscriptions are managed through Apple ID Settings.
- Google subscriptions are managed through Google Play Account Settings.
3.4 Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Store account settings. Cancelling prevents renewal but does not provide a refund for the current billing period.
Refunds are subject exclusively to Apple’s or Google’s refund policies.
4: Eligibility & Use Restrictions
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tonely, or meet the minimum age required in your region.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App
- Interfere with the operation of the App
- Use Tonely for harmful, abusive or unlawful behaviour
Tonely AI Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
5: Privacy & Data
Tonely is designed with privacy in mind. Tone detection runs fully on your device. Tonely AI Ltd does not collect, store or transmit the messages you type.

6: AI Limitations & User Responsibility
Tonely provides reflective suggestions generated using AI. These insights:
- May be incomplete
- May be inaccurate
- Should not be treated as professional advice
Tonely is not responsible for decisions made based on AI feedback. Users remain fully responsible for their own communication and messaging behaviour.
7: Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, code and materials within the App are owned by Tonely AI Ltd and protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws.
Users are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal use only.
8: Updates & Availability
Tonely AI Ltd may update the App periodically. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of any modified Terms.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or compatibility with all devices.
9: Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- Tonely AI Ltd is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the App.
- Tonely AI Ltd does not guarantee that suggestions or classifications are correct.
Users accept full responsibility for the consequences of messages they choose to send.
10: Termination
Tonely AI Ltd may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.
You may also terminate use by deleting the App and cancelling your subscription.
11: Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts unless required otherwise by local consumer legislation.
