I created Tonely because I felt the world needed a tool that helps us approach one another with more love and awareness. I’ve received my share of toxic messages over the years and, if I’m honest, I’ve probably sent a few myself. I wanted something that would keep me accountable, and also support anyone else who wants to communicate with more care.

I stepped into this with no background in AI, but I was determined to build something meaningful. Tonely is my attempt at conscious AI—technology that slows us down for a moment and gently asks us to consider how our words might land.

Sometimes ignorance genuinely feels like a defence… but with Tonely, you can no longer say you didn’t realise how a message might come across. It isn’t perfect yet—this is still a journey, and as we keep improving the data, the model will continue to grow. I’ve built the AI and the training data myself, so thank you for your patience along the way.

My hope is that Tonely brings more peace, protects people from unnecessary hurt and encourages all of us to show a little more love and care when communicating by text.
